Working with me

Psychotherapy is a collaborative relationship. I will work with you in a supportive and non-judgemental way, moving at your pace and tailoring my approach to your needs.

Psychotherapy is most effective if you come regularly. The standard is once a week, although some people come more or less frequently. We can find a frequency that suits you. Each session is for 50 minutes.

We can work together in person, online or over the phone, or a combination.

I am a Covid Safe practicioner and follow the guidelines set out by NSW Health.

I am a passionate supporter of inclusion.

What is psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy is a form of talking therapy grounded in the idea that we need to build our sense of personal value and understand the reasons we feel, think and behave the way we do to change, to find less painful, more gratifying ways of living. Psychotherapy is focused on working with causes rather treating symptoms, although symptom management is part of the overall approach.

Psychotherapy provides a safe and supportive space for people who suffer from depression, anxiety, are going through life transitions or are survivors of trauma to access specialised, evidence-based treatment. It is also helpful for sufferers of more severe mental illness and for those with neurodiverse conditions such as ADHD.

Psychotherapy also offers a safe and supportive space for those who seek to explore and deepen their understanding of themselves and their lives to create more fulfilling ways of living.
